Each shot taken is a step further into experience.
Starting in the year of 2023 I’ve found myself intrigued with film photography.Personally I find this form of art to be compelling. It’s a crafty way in telling a narrative.
It’s not just analog that’s stolen my eye.
Photography in general is a beautiful way to paint perspective.
Each of us walk this Earth generally seeing the same things, but through different lenses.
When the Sun is awake and friendly at 4 p.m I see blue, whereas my Vovo in Portugal is probably seeing the sky wearing a darker complexion.

It’s fine to love a “failure.”
As you grow in whatever craft you desire to wield you find style, you find ‘better’,you find growth. Through my journey I crave in the search for myself.
This realm of art is a competitive one, much like all others, and I recognize that not all that I create will be desired. Like this here photo. Some might say there’s too much ground, whereas I say, “I had fun that day.”
I’m not sure why, but I sure do adore this photo.
Extraordinary is waiting, if you dare to round the corner.
Whether others find beauty in my images that’s not of my concern.
Sure, I’m an artist, if somewhere out there someone found themselves enjoying my photos and cared to have it as a piece of decor, of course, I would talk about it for days on end.
But, for me, it’s a tool in survival. It helps keep me here another day, because just like those loving or hating my art, I am human and that is extraordinary.

We struggle as artists.
There is an expectation we set on ourselves and when we don’t meet those expectations suddenly our art isn’t worth anything.
I’ve taken the time to sort out that sometimes it’s okay to not conjure up what was residing in your head.
Art, of any kind, is healing. It’s freeing!
We don’t, or at least we shouldn’t, put expectations on Mother Nature, so why not serve the same grace for ourselves?

Without the trunk of a tree the leaves will then have nowhere to sit.
What I mean by that is support is valuable. To have those precious to you reaching for your hand when you trip is something quite magical.
I still, 25 years into existing, have trouble letting those who want to help, help.
It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to be tired.
It’s okay to put off your next project.
I know fall is a stunning season and sometimes it’s okay to be a fallen leaf, but don’t forget summer is just as eye capturing.
Thank you!
